Welcome to Science Bus! ![]() Science Bus is an organization based out of Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, California. We are a community outreach organization which coordinates volunteers to visit local elementary schools with hands-on science lessons. While each lesson teaches a concept, the overarching focus is to build positive associations with science and encourage students to approach problems from a scientific perspective. It is our hope that more young men and women, especially from groups that are currently underrepresented in scientific fields, will pursue higher education and careers in science. To learn more about Science Bus and our mission, visit the about us page. This site is also used to bring together people from all over the Claremont Colleges to collectively edit lesson plans, discuss ideas, and collaborate on other Science Bus projects. You can create and edit new pages, posit ideas, post comments, upload attachments, and lots of other cool stuff. Feel free to poke around. The navigation bar on the left hand side has several key pages, such as an announcements page, member resources page, and current/archived lessons. To be added as a collaborator, follow these instructions. We are currently in a planning stage for fall, 2009 programs.
