We are off into a new semester with Science Bus! Currently we are recruiting new members, so check out how to get involved or email us at contact.sciencebus@gmail.com. Currently we want to visit four schools in Pomona: San Antonio, Roosevelt, Allison, and Montvue. This will require dedicated students from the 5-Cs to teach the lessons! We are also working on revising and creating new lessons... if you would like to follow that progress, visit http://sciencebuslessons.wiki.zoho.com/ for our lesson wiki, or come to a lesson writing committee meeting on Sundays at 11:30am in the Rose Hills Foundation dining room at the Hoch (HMC campus). It's looking like an exciting new year! |

Directions to Roosevelt: From Dartmouth and 12th... Take a right onto Foothill Blvd and drive east. Turn right on Monte Vista and drive south. Get on the I-10 going West. Exit on Garey/Orange Grove. Turn left under the freeway onto Orange Grove. Continue on Orange Grove for about half a mile. Turn left on Huntington. It can be a little hard to see, so look for the school crossing. There will be an orientation meeting on Saturday, September 20th in the Platt Livingroom at Harvey Mudd. It will start at 1pm and probably go for about an hour. If you are interested in being a tutor, you should definitely come to see what it is all about and learn more about how you can get involved. |
